yummy squared

Modern day vegetarians have so much fun.  Practically every type of food you love as a meat-atarian is available in a happy faceless veggie form, corn dogs that are maybe better than the real thing, burgers, bacon-esq stuff, cheese-ish items, egg like substances... you name it.
Granted, all this flexibility for vegetarians does come with a price, it's not all actually good for you and a lot of it should be classified along side all the other processed junk food.  What can you do, it's not a perfect world and you can't have everything super tasty and healthy unless maybe you're a raw vegan.  I'm not complaining I'm just saying.. There's some tasty vegetarian stuff out there and maybe it's a little delusional to label all things vegetarian as healthy..

Ok, enough of my silly rant that I really was not trying to take anywhere.. What I really wanted to post about today is a delicious example of fun vegetarian cuisine that can be found in Chicago at a place appropriately named Yummy, Yummy Asian Cuisine. They have a large offering of all sorts of Asian fare from what they claim as "Japanese" to I'm sure a slightly healthier version of what I call "Cheap Chinese".  Cheap Chinese is that addictive stuff you crave that's more often than not deep fried then covered in sugar, soy sauce and other spices probably MSG (an evil substance that I'm allergic to).  Other than the MSG I freaking love cheap Chinese, it holds a special place in my palate that just isn't satisfied by the more authentic dishes.

Yummy, Yummy kicks ass it has both the healthy stuff and it has a fine offering of cheap Chinese and you don't even have to be a vegetarian as they do offer meat on the menu.. but there is such a big variety of vegetarian dishes that are all so good who needs meat.  Tragically I don't live in Chicago but I do have a few friends namely one really good friend Camellia who is brilliant and fun and introduces me to wonderful places to eat every time I visit.  Thank you Camellia, I must visit you more!!!

So yummy it has to be said twice..

Look what two yogis can put away after a long day of play.
