winning an argument

Ok.. so there's a big.. well.. maybe not epic big but it's a debate of some size out there in the wine world.. the debate is real cork, synthetic cork or twisty caps.

I've always said cork is novel, great for old school wines, sustainable, offers the wine a chance to mingle with it's environment in sometimes good, sometimes bad ways.  Screw caps are not so environmentally friendly, but very convenient and you know what you're opening when you twist that cap, pretty much the same story for synthetic corks.  All that said I do get mighty sad when my cork flakes apart as I twist the corkscrew and even sadder when some flakes get into my beautiful bottle of wine.. Curses, and tears (depending on the price)..  I can't help it I'm still a little traditionalist supporter.. but damn it, I'm sad.

cork you!!
