converting

I sometimes think about joining different churches because their food festival fundraisers are so good.  I like to imagine that eventually I would make friends with the members of the congregation which translates into the idea that I could potentially get invited to their homes for dinner because that is the ultimate goal for any friendship I make, an invite to a food gathering of some sort.  But then I think about the weekends of being trapped inside a small building faking my beliefs just so I can occasionally get invites to yummy dinners and it doesn't sit well.

I recently went to one of those food fundraisers for a Korean Presbyterian church.  For anyone who doesn't know much about Korea or Koreans I will sum what little I know about Koreans with a few generalities (note these things only apply to South Korea I know next to nothing about North Korea but this Link is pretty dang awesome) I would say that from what I know they are predominately a very conservative Christian society, with bizarre obsessions with their very hot pop stars (that was a link to a commercial with a bunch or ridiculous hot Korean pop stars, my personal favorites are and actor Kim Sung Soo and the boy band big bang ridiculous I know but kinda fun) karaoke and very good food that often has anchovies.
