getting dressed

Salad dressing is so stinking expensive, making your own is not and it's a simple quick thing you can toss together to make your salad 100 times better.  Taking the time to make a salad 100 times better is definitely worth it and really only takes an average of about five to a maximum of 15 minutes and it sounds fancy when serving guest.

Here's a recipe of a dressing I made recently for the salad pictured below... which, may have had bacon to balance out the salad goodness.

Maple Balsamic

Ingredients:
Maple syrup (grade B maple syrup is a steal of a deal, dark color with a strong maple taste at half the cost)
Salt
garlic smashed - one or two cloves (a garlic twist is great for this)
olive oil
thyme
balsamic vinegar
rice vinegar

Directions:
mix all ingredients to taste in a glass container such as a measuring cup or empty glass bottle.. let set for at least 10 min.

i like my salad a little fruity - cherries or other fruit topping
