I wrote earlier about a panini like crepe served at the twisted crepe.. meh was the review because I've had way better crepes.. behold way better crepes. Way better crepes can be found in Anchorage, Alaska of all places at a little shop on the corner of 1st and G called 302 G st or JoJo to GoGo (I'm uncertain on the name of this establishment because if you go there you'll see it's kinda confusing).. Anyway, what does that say about Anchorage? Better yet, what does that say about the twisted crepe in Asheville, NC? Hmmm..
The menu is small there are only a few savory offerings (made with buckwheat flower, i.e. gluten free, yay!) along with a few sweet crepes on the menu.. but each of them is perfectly done with interesting flavor combinations that don't go overboard and turn into some crazy explosion of tastes in your mouth. My friend had the black forest ham and cheese, it was a perfect execution of a classic. I had the goat cheese, truffle oil and beets crepe.. I will officially only order this from now on even though the other two savory crepes are very delicious.. this one gets the special denomination of being the one crepe to rule them all for me..
i'm filled with deliciousness
i look like i'm the same thing but i'm filled with something else that is equally delicious
wink, wink, nudge, nudge.. say no more.. i'm sold
Now, crepes. I'm totally into them so, I have noted the address and... well, you know the rest. Many thanks.
ReplyDeleteGreetings from London.
