travel tummy

In an attempt to figure out where to go and what to do next with my life I've been on a personal exodus trying to decide where and what that will be by visiting friends and family in towns across the US.  Some out of curiosity some out of memories of previous vacations and some just because.
This means that during these past few weeks that has turned into a few months I've perhaps, more than likely, definitely indulged or more like over indulged in some grand meals.  This has brought up a concern with myself..  one is that I don't think I have an off button that says I'm full until I'm way beyond excessively full... after a many more weeks than I'd like to admit  of indulging it has left me with what I can only say is travel tummy.  Since I don't believe in dieting. My solution for this will be cutting the dairy temporarily, reducing the meat and adding more kombucha, lots and lots more of kombucha.   For those who don't know what kombucha is and don't want to click the link, it's basically a fermented tea with a vinegary flavor and antibiotic properties.

My favorite kombucha used to be G.T's Divine Grape, a flavor that seems to no longer be an option at any grocery store that I shop at. However it  has officially been replaced by something I like even more, my new absolute all time favorite kombucha is the Buchi limited edition flavor which is the original with added apple juice.  Unfortunately being a limited edition means it obviously won't be around forever, in my opinion that is a serious tragedy because it's really so good I could drink it every day.  This only means that I'm going to have to have to stock up while I learn how to make it myself.  So begins the hunt for a mother, if you don't know what that is it's because you didn't click the link...

One quick note, if you're ever in the Western Carolina area or Whole Foods in Atlanta check out Buchi (it's on tap how cool is that).  If the limited edition is all gone the fire is a noteworthy spicy brew but I don't think it should be drank everyday all that spicy could be rough on your liver and digestive system.

I'm in the process of trying to see if someone in the Carolinas loves me enough to stock pile them for me till I head back that way.  Hint, Hint.. Anyone?

  1. I guess when I move there in June I can see about this stockpiling. It'd be more fun if you came and we went on a kombucha run together...
