strike one

I like to give everything a few tries unless it's so bad that I feel sick or I know that it will give me food nightmares for the rest of my life.

Pickles seem like one of those things that you have to try really hard to f'@@ up.  They've been around for millenia.. In fact about every culture has their version of the pickle or at least something that is pickled, Korean, Polish, Thai, and Indian pickles all of which have probably been around a lot longer than American pickles.. (I love Indian pickles.. they are spicy, tart, come in a million different varieties and are nothing at all like an American pickle, no sex jokes intended)... Now, when I refer to American pickles they are probably some derivative of a European pickle and from this point on I'm going to just say pickle.  Back to the point.. I bought a pretty container of yummy looking Schorr's pickles at Earth Fare and was sorely disappointed.  They lacked any hint of tartness and tasted almost like they brined them them and then packed them in a jar of water.  That's about how much flavor was in these pickles.  It was labeled New York Deli Style, which I thought was a nice kosher dill.. I will have to blame it on the fact that these pickles came from Florida.. not exactly known for their NY style deli pickles, lesson learned don't buy pickles from Florida...  C'est la vie, I may give one of the other flavors another shot.. and if I do I will update my opinion of this brand but there are a plethora of other pickle brands out there so it may be a while.  Currently I say it's a brand not to buy again unless I'm trying to save my teeth from corrosive acids.

i may look like pickles but i don't taste like pickles, plus my lid doesn't stay on avoid me unless you have sensitive teeth..
